Turkish Pizza

I was very fortunate to be able to visit Turkey this year as a business trip and having a great local agent who love good foods is definitely a plus.

One of the local food that he actually introduce to me was the Turkish Pizza which locals call it pide (read pee-deh). This Turkish “pizza,” is widely enjoyed in Istanbul and has a very thin crust topped with minced meat, usually beef or lamb, which is mixed with a few spices and a hint of tomato.  The dish is served on wooden cutting boards topped with shredded romaine lettuce and a lemon wedge and the traditional way to enjoy this aromatic treat is to squeeze lemon juice over the greens, and fold the pizza in half before eating.

They have a few variants and below is how two of it looks like.

I prefer the first, where eggs are added onto the top but both are very delicious. So, if you have the chance to actually go to Turkey or a Turkish restaurant locally, be sure to try this delicacy. I believe that you would not be disappointed.

Craft Brews, Mutiara Damansara

Was at one of my favourite place (at the invitation from a friend) yesterday, feasting on great food and nice beer.

Where?

Craft Brews, of course…
What truly make it different is that the place dont serve the usual beer that you and I know. They serve beer which is specially brew with a difference.

How different?
How about that?

Believe it…. all three are beers with a different taste.

Monster Green Lagers (that green one in the middle)  is brewed and lagered with premium spirulina that gives it the unique  green color and a whiff of fresh fragrance. This is my favourite.

English Ale is the stronger and full-bodied beer. Standing at the back, it has the colour of ruby red and the flavour comes a bit complex with smoky, spicy and hop-py.

Weizen (Wheat Beer), the golden and cloudy beer that stand in the front, has a fruity nose and spice flavour. I have tried this before but I guess it is not part of my “beer” (pun intended).

And while we were there, we found out that there is a new “kid” in town. Who?

Lime Wheat Beer

It does look surprisingly nice but I cant say much until I taste it myself.

Anyway, we were having their Bacon ‘n’ Batter for appetizer and it is extremely delicious.

For the main course, I had Lemongrass Butter Dory Fillet while Nicole ordered the Craft Brews Pasta. Both dishes are great and it comes at one of the largest portion we have seen. In the end, both of us couldnt finished off our order… LOLZ… Jazlynn, another friend that joined us yesterday ordered the same dishes as me again, the feedback is superb food.

I didnt brought my camera over thus, I couldnt post any good photos (those that you can see here are from Craft Brews’ Facebook Page). Click here if you want to check it out. And if you want to try our the place, here is the address and the map.
